While I was making Norse face paints, I was also wanting to see if I could create some every-day makeup for the average person. This included blush, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick, and freckles.
Over the course of the next few months, I played with different basic makeups. The only makeup I didn't end up making was eyeshadow. Nothing I did looked quite right - the eyes were hard to play around. I also wasn't quite happy with the lipstick, but I didn't hate it overall.
Goals:
Create every-day makeup
What I Learned:
It's hard to get the right angle for eyeshadow and eyeliner, and it really all depends on the person's shape and what head they're wearing. I don't think I'll ever be 100% confident in this, though I may just need practice.
It's hard to paint lipstick around the lips of other skins.
I did learn how to add detail to the lips. This was the first time I tried to add definition to a tintable makeup
Notes:
I could have just as easily made eyebrow shapes to go with the eyeliner
I could have made a tattoo that covers just the base lips so I didn't feel like I had to overdraw the lipstick
