Missy Mane :: February 2022

I'd taken a few months off from creating to deal with real life. My late father in law had a sudden decline and passed a few weeks before my husband and I got married.

When I got back online and got back into the swing of things, I switched fully to the Open Pony avatar. Missy was the last mane I made that included a Magik Pony version.

I wanted to make another personal mane - one that combined two manes I wore on Magik into one. I wanted flat bangs, straight hair, and some strands that pulled back to have a bow (that I could make invisible and wear my normal flat-brimmed hat). It took a few tries to get the right length of bangs, and I think I could have gone even longer, but I was nervous to have anyone's eyelashes clipping through their bangs.

Goals:

• Make a personal mane combining pieces of other manes I love

What I Learned:

• How to make blunt bangs

• How to make a basic bow and make sure it can hold textures

Notes:

• Going forward, I've spent more time on the hair accessories so they're properly unwrapped and have an Ambient Occlusion

• I also don't have to worry about hair clipping through the eyelashes so much, as most don't use the entire texture space in that capacity
